October 2000, Mohamad al Durra dies in the arms of his father in Palestine. The death of this Palestinian child is seen by millions of people in the Arab world, and has a special impact on Arab children,
who express their anger in very extraordinary ways. Eliane Raheb's journey following these children helps her rediscover her childhood and begins questioning her relationship and position with the Arab world, and within the different factions (religious and political) in Lebanon.

No one need cry is the portrayal of the tragedy of Jenin refugee camp - the camp as it was only 4 days after the Israeli forces bombarded the camp with tanks and destroying homes and people's lives. Surrounded by ruins and rubble, the Palestinian population in dismay is shovelling among the remnants of their houses searching the corpses of their friends and relatives after the massacre perpetrated by the Israeli forces.

Can Maryam and Ziad's fragile love survive? The story unfolds with the narration taking the classical form of a love letter to her husband.
