Tale of Three Jewels tells the story of Yussef, a 12 year old boy, who falls in love with a gypsy girl. When Yussef declares his intention of marrying her some day, she tells him that he must first find three jewels missing from her grandmother's necklace. In the name of love, Yussef embarks on a mystical journey that includes, among many things, a crate filled with oranges, a wise old man, and the beautiful landscape of Gaza. Tale of Three Jewels is the first ever feature film to be filmed in the Gaza Strip.

Bader Ben Hirsi, a British-born Yemeni living in London after his parent's exile from Yemen returns to re-discover his country, his people, his traditions. Ben Hirsi travels throughout his ancestral hoomland with an eccentric Englishman, Tim Makintosh-Smith, who has lived in Yemen for over 16 years. The film chronicles their interaction and emerging friendship as they explore the beautiful Yemen countryside.
